Angles Watchen Over Jani€™

26 Angels. . . . Here's a message that will give you chills. Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said "I'll pray for them later"? Or has anyone ever called you and said, "I need you to pray for me, I have this need"? Read the following story that was sent to me and may it change the way that

you think about prayer and also the way you pray. A missionary on furlough

told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan........ While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, to purchase medicine and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been

seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord. I then traveled two days, camping overnight,

and arrived home without incident. Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated and he told me that he had known I

carried money and medicines." He said, "Some friends and I followed you into

the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp,

we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards." "At this I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite." The young man pressed the point, however, and said, "No sir, I was not the only person to see the guards. My five friends also saw them, and

we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and

left you alone." At this point in the story, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his

feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact

day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story: "On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. On the course, I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I

called some men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?" The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26! This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in mysterious ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it. Nothing

is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of Hell. As the above true story clearly illustrates, "With God all things are possible." And more importantly, God hears and answers the prayers of the

faithful. After you read this, give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith,

for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your

own daily life ..... and then pass it on. We walk this earth but one time ..... each time we touch someone, we leave a

part of ourselves...and we walk away with a part of them. "As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing

to pray for you." I Samuel 12:23 PRAYER Holy and eternal God, thank you for those intercessors that surround

our lives like a holy hedge with their prayers. Help us to minister confidently in the knowledge that you are God who hears and answers prayer.

Amen.

If Tomorrow starts without me
> 'If tomorrow starts without me,
> And I'm not there to see,
> If the sun should rise and find your eyes
> all filled with tears for me;
>
> I wish so much you wouldn't cry
> the way you did today,
> While thinking of the many things,
> We didn't get to say.
>
> I know how much you love me,
> As much as I love you,
> And each time that you think of me,
> I know you'll miss me too;
>
> But when tomorrow starts without me,
> Please try to understand,
> that an angel came and called my name,
> And took me by the hand,
>
> And said my place was ready,
> In heaven far above,
> And that I'd have to leave behind
> all those I dearly love.
>
> But as I turned to walk away,
> A tear fell from my eye,
> For all my life, I'd always thought,
> I didn't want to die.
>
> I had so much to live for,
> So much left yet to do,
> it seemed almost impossible,
> that I was leaving you.
>
> I thought of all the yesterdays,
> The good ones and the bad,
> I thought of all that we shared,
> And all the fun we had.
>
> If I could relive yesterday,
> Just even for a while,
> I'd say good-bye and kiss you
> and maybe see you smile.
>
> But then I fully realized,
> That this could never be,
> For emptiness and memories,
> would take the place of me.
>
> And when I thought of worldly things,
> I might miss some tomorrow,
> I thought of you, and when I did,
> My heart was filled with sorrow.
>
> But when I walked through heaven's gates,
> I felt so much at home.
> When God looked down and smiled at me,
> From His great golden throne,
>
> He said, 'This is eternity,
> And all I've promised you.'
> Today your life on earth is past,
> but here life starts anew.
>
> I promise no tomorrow,
> But today will always last,
> and since each day is the same way,
> There's no longing for the past.
>
> So when tomorrow starts without me,
> don't think we're far apart,
> For every time you think of me,
> I'm right here, in your heart '

"Heavenly Father,
We come before you today
To ask your forgiveness and
To seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says,
"Woe to those who call evil good"
But that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium
And reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and
Called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness
And called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn
and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists
And called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline
Our children and called it Building self esteem.

We have abused power
And called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s
Possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air
With profanity and Pornography and called it
Freedom of speech and expression.

We have ridiculed the time
Honored values of our
Forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God,
And know our hearts today;
Cleanse us from every sin
And set us free.
Amen!"
