Damon Ray Walker, age 40, of Elk City, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 16, 2007, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City.
Damon was born on May 14, 1967, in Oklahoma City to Hubert Ray and Anabell (Tracey) Bevill. Adopted at an early age, Damon moved from Oklahoma City to Healton, Oklahoma for a short time before settling in Elk City. Working on a drilling rig for a while and later driving a truck, he spent his pastime working with gas powered remote controlled cars, making improvements on his “big rig” and running trotlines. On May 26, 2004, he married Crystal Dautevil in Elk City.
Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne Tracey in 1994, he is survived by his wife, Crystal, of the home; three children, Brooke Crumbley, Stormy Walker and Damon Walker, Jr., all of Elk City; two sisters, Janice Cox and husband Don of Kingfisher and Fern Sparks of Weatherford; one brother, Audie Walker and wife Sherry of Elk City; his mother-in-law, Rita Sizemore of Granite along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Damon Walker will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Granite with Rev. Arol Steverson officiating. A private family burial service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
"For I am convinced that neither
death nor life, neither the present
or the future, neither angels nor demons,
nor any powers, neither height
nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will separate us from The Love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Rom 8:38-39.
Read it again! yes absolutely NOTHING
can separate you from the Love of God.
Read it again....are you becoming
more convinced about it?
If you still feel far from The Love of God, and
your prayers feel like they
are hitting the ceiling in your home
and bouncing back at you, and
you wonder whether God is listening
anyway, and fears and doubts
flood your mind-Read it again!
Let it seep into your inner most
being that NOTHING,
absolutely nothing
can separate you from God's Love
for you. That means
he has a plan and a purpose
to prosper you and not to harm you.
That means He will give you his angels
charge over you. That means
He will give you good gifts and
he is listening to your prayers.
That means He has your best
interest at heart and he gives
you what your heart desires.
It means despite what things feel
like, God wil never leave you nor forsake you.
If you go to the deepest valley or
down to the bottom of the ocean,
He is there, if you go to the highest peak
he is there.
In fact try as you might,
you can't get away from Him!!!
Stop running, take a few deep breaths
and drink in
The Love of God this week until every
cell in your body, mind and spirit
is saturated! Read the scripture again
out loud this time and drink!!!!
