The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; We've added years to life, not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less; we plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes, but, lower morals.
We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are the days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. Where are we heading ....?
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family an unwise investment indeed. So what is the morale of the story????
Don't work too hard... and you know what's the full word of family?FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

I remember that God always holds the key to any dilemma.
As long as I keep Jesus by my side,
and love in my heart,
I will be guided and counseled.
God's Word say:
Ask, and it will be given to you,
Seek and you will find,
Knock and it will be opened to you,
For everyone who asks receives,
And he who seeks finds,
And to him who knocks,
It will be opened.
Matthew 7: 7-8.
The Lords Ball game
THE LORD'S BASEBALL GAME
Freddy and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team.
The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate named 'Love.'
Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because "Love never fails."
The next batter was named Faith , who also got a single because Faith works with Love .
The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch.
Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked because he never swings at what Satan throws.
The bases were now loaded. The Lord then turned to Freddy and told him He was now
going to bring in His star player. Up to the plate stepped Grace . Freddy said, "He sure doesn't look like much!"
Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace .
Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen! But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by.
He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing on the ground;
the roaring crowds went wild as the ball
continued over the fence
The Lord's team w n!
The Lord then asked Freddy if he knew why Love, Faith and Godly Wisdom could get on base but couldn't win the game. Freddy answered that he didn't know why.
The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game, you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, Faith and Wisdom will get you on base but only My Grace can get you Home :
'For by Grace are you saved, it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephestians 2:8-9
Psalm 84:11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."
Jesus' Test
This is an easy test; you score 100 or zero. It's your choice. If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions. Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father."
Not ashamed!! Pass this on, if you mean it.
, I do Love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I am nothing, but with him:
"I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me."
Phil 4:13
This is the simplest test If you Love God,
and are not ashamed of all the great things
He has done for you. Send this to a few friends.
When things get tough, always remember...
Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it !!
Words
There are so many things I wish I could tell you
So many feelings
Too many thoughts
But words on their own can cause many faults
Twisted words lie and assumptions are wrong
I just wish sometimes my feelings weren't so strong
In my dreams, I picture sitting you down
and exposing my heart to you
But I don't want to hurt you or make you doubt, that's something that words can do
All I can do is show you my love
and keep all my words inside
My negativity and all my fears
are something that I can hide
For exposing them might show you,
I'm not as strong as I wish I could be
That I'm not always happy and cheerful inside
and that's not what I want you to see
Isn't it strange that words meant for communication
can somehow get in the way
That what you feel in your heart and soul
can come out wrong in what you say
But I know in these next few words that I write
will never come out wrong
I love you and I miss you,
and I promise to always be strong
The Way We Affect Others
We may not always realize that everything we do,
Affects not only our lives, but touches others too.
A single happy smile can always brighten up the day,
For anyone who happens to be passing by your way.
And a little bit of thoughtfulness that shows
someone you care,
Creates a ray of sunshine for both of you to share.
Yes, every time you offer someone a helping hand,
Every time you show a friend that you understand,
Every time you have a kind and gentle word to give,
You help someone to find beauty in this precious life we live.
For happiness brings happiness and loving ways bring love,
And giving is the treasure, that contentment is made of.
