As snow flakes fall outside
and I begin to feel the chill
I long for the moment when
once again, I am held
I long to hear the softness of
their voice, I miss "I love you"
I miss more, the gestures that
touch me deeper then words
Like the kiss that makes my
heart begin to soar so high

melt as we become one
I long to see that glance, that
look to make me feel desired
I long to lay under the sheets as
I feel someone hold me close
I long to feel their heart beating
as I nuzzle up safe in their arms
I miss the reassurance if I feel
blue, someone will notice
I long for another's encouragement
for all I am and will be one day
I miss companionship, laughter and
someone to make my life complete
2006 could be the year I tell myself
a year of chances and love
If only I would take that chance and
open my heart and let them in
