Mirror, mirror on the wall
Do you have to tell it all?
Where do you get the glaring light
To make my clothes look just too tight?
I think I'm fine but I can see
you won't cooperate with me;
The way you let the shadows play
You'd think my hair was getting gray.
What's that, you say? A double chin?
No, that's the way the light comes in;
If you persist in peering so
You'll confiscate my facial glow,
And then if you're not hanging straight
You'll tell me next I'm gaining weight;
I'm really quite upset with you
For giving this distorted view;
I hate you being smug and wise ~
O, look what's happened to my thighs!
I warn you now, O mirrored wall,
Since we're not on speaking terms at all,
If I look like this in my new jeans,
You'll find yourself in smithereens!

Just like last night's dream you
gave me the most shy of smiles
Whispering "Take me once again
my darling, make me moan"
Make me float on clouds, make
me soar across the universe
Take me to places I dared to
dream could be so beautiful
Rock me in loving arms as your
warm lips travel across my skin
Bathe me in the kisses I knew
existed but could never find
Let me surrender, in your comfort
let me stay for eternity
You have always been my destination
I just never knew the way
With the gentlest of hands you massaged
me until I could feel myself melting
But you always shed that love swept
tear just before the first rays of light
Dawn was quickly approaching as you
fought to catch your breath
Anxiously you held me tighter as you
begged for me to not let you go
But sunrise did come and I did awaken
as I too felt a tear drop begin to fall
Why must life be so cruel to tease me
with a love, a love I crave so deeply?
To hold you, to smell you, to taste all
that becomes to me simply paradise?
The hours tick by so slowly, as I wait
for slumber and your return
